My Own Language

         I come from China. Therefore, my main language is Chinese. In my opinion, Chinese is easy. However, there have some many different pronunciations. For me, it is easy to understand. I have a lot of friends which are from other countries; they said that Chinese is very difficult, and it is harder than English. I agree that. Sometimes, one work of Chinese has different meaning and pronunciation, so it is so difficult to remember and speak. Also, Chinese have so many slangs.

School

1. I don't go to the class because the class is canceled.

2. Studying English is difficult because of spelling, vocabulary, and grammar.

3. Despite not liking to go to school, I do homework every day.

4. Although I wasn't good on that test, I passed the class.

5. Unless the first test, I’m great for my grades.

6. While the class is starting, I do my homework.

7. If I’m sick, I’ll not go to school.

8. Before the teacher comes, I should look at my book.

9. I’m so sad after the test.

10. I was doing my homework until 9:00.

School Life

    As many students, I hate school. I hate study, do homework, think a lot of thing, and so one. However, I have friends at school. Before I lived in homestay, I need to woke up at 8 every day. It is so terrible. I need ran to the bus stop and waited for the bus. I spend 1 hour for going to school every day. Although it is bad, school life is great. Therefore, I have a lot of good friends. I usually eat lunch with my friends. It is very nice at this time. We talk about the teachers, clothes, delicious food…… In fact, school life not only is boring, but also is great.

My Best Friend

Yuzhu Qian is my best friend. She is my uncle’s child, so we always play together. Although we are friend, we are more like sisters. We have been together since I was 10 years old. She is younger than me by 1 year. Therefore, she always doesn’t take same classes with me. If we have free times, we’ll be together. We like to go around and find the delicious food. We also like to go to the KTV for all day. The other time, we usually go shopping. We rather look at clothes than buy, because we spent more money on the food. Although I am studying at Seattle now, we usually talk each other once a week. I have a lot of friend, but she is a unique one.

Family/Friends

1. After dinner, I always watch TV with my family.
2. Although I have a lot of friends, I feel lonely.
3. My father often dotes on me because he couldn't see me for long times.
4. I usually call my friend before I go back to China.
5. If I have vacations, I always to back to China and stay with my family.
6. I hadn't seen my parents since I came back to Seattle.
7. Unless I have important things to do in Seattle, I'll go back and stay with my parents.
8. When I went back to China, my mother was crying.
9. I was living with my friends until now.
10. Yesterday, I went the Downtown with my friend even through it was raining.

Weather/Seasons

1. In fact, Seattle has to much rain. Therefore, people always bring an umbrella when people go to work.
2. I like summer. For this reason, I can eat ice cream a lot.
3. When summer begins, children not only can go to the beach, but also have a long vacation.
4. I love snow days. However, it is very cold.
5. I like to stay home all day when it starts to snow.
6. My mother likes flowers. For instance, I must go out with my mother when spring begins.
7. My friend likes to go shopping on sunny days.
8. It had been raining since my mother was staying.
9. My father and I always swim when the weather is very hot.
10. Many people don't like to go to school if the weather is really bad.

My Bedroom

       My bedroom isn't only common, but also is lame for furnishings. Frist, when you walk into my bedroom, you'll see a single black bed in the center. If you look to the left, you will see a big brown wardrobe dresser. A lot of clothes and two big blue boxes are onside. Behind my bed, there is a bed stand that is same color with my bed. Then, you will see a black alarm clock on the bed stand. Next, you will see a white big desk in front of my bed. There are many books on my desk. However, there are more than half novels. Finally, my family’s small photo is on the white wall. My all family number is being together on that photo which is the only one. Therefore, that photo is very important for me.

Travel

1. Last year, I went to NEI MENGGU and played in a big prairie.
2. A lot of sheep, horses and cattle live in the prairie.
3. My father was driving a car in the prairie for one week.
4. When I sat in the car, horses were running with the car.
5.I have been listening to the prairie music since we came back to our house.
6.I like to enjoy the vacation.
7.I am going to go to Korea next year.
8.I will travel once a year.
9.My mother has gone to LA.
10.After I finish ESL classes, I am going to go back to China.

About Myself

     Hi my name is gao yuan. you can call me carol. And i come form a small city in china. I really like kpop. If i have free day, i always listen to the kpop. My other hobby is see film. Any nice film that i already sew. Now you maybe think i like to play to much. it is true. ^^ My family is very simply. It just have my father, my mother and me.

     When i was 16 years old, i moved to other city and decided to study in the us. In fact, my mother don't want let me leave to her. I really don't want. But i know that is good for myself and i believe i could took care by myself.

     After that i went to Seattle when i was 18 years old. I like this city although it have to much rain.

      I have been there for one year. it is too hard. but i think i will be good.
